Quilt & Cat Tree Drawing

HSLC would like to encourage our members and the citizens of Levy County to participate in our drawing for a Cat Tree donated by Molly & Friends. In addition, HSLC received two quilts. One quilt is made up of four cats and each them feature their own uniqueness. The other quilt is made up of four beautiful dogs that feature their own individuality. These quilts were made by hand with love and donated by Sylvia Schenk and Marl Flickinger.

HSLC would like to THANK the individuals and businesses for their generous donations.

"Bark-N-Purr Charity Concert"

Wild West Fest & Barbeque Cook-Off

This event will take place on February 23, 2008 at the Bronson Youth League. We encourage residents from surrounding counties and Levy County to come and enjoy an event for the whole family. The gates at the Youth League will open at 12:00Pm and end the evening with a country music artist that will be announced at a later date.

The Humane Society plans on transforming the Youth League to a "wild west" atmosphere that will feature professional whip crackers, trick ropers, gun spinners and bar room brawls. We will also have a mechanical bull where you could earn yourself the title of Male or Female Bull Riding Champion with a beautiful belt buckle sponsored by area Western Clothing Stores. The event will also have desperado photos where the whole family can dress in costume and be a part of the action. The kids will enjoy all the sites and "Buckaroo Treasure Hunt", leather crafting and many other events.

This event will feature a sanctioned Barbeque Competition with the Florida Barbeque Association. Come out and sample from over 25 different teams showing off their barbeque skills and watch them compete for "Best Barbeque."
